Bale Paselang

To the east of the ‘Bale Pemangku,’ there is another Bale/building called ‘Bale Paselang’. This Bale is located to the southeast of Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati. As the name suggests, ‘Bale Paselang’ comes from the word ‘Selang’ which means ‘borrow’. Usually, when there is a religious ceremony on a large enough scale, this bale will be borrowed to become a place or Sthana for the Bhataras to reside temporarily, especially the Bhataras or manifestations of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God Almighty) who come from outside Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati.

In addition, if another religious ceremony is held at this temple which is not too large in scale, then usually this bale can be used as a ‘Bale Pawedan’, namely a place for holy people (especially a holy person called Ida Pedanda, namely a saint whose level is higher than Pemangku) to preside over the religious ceremony at Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati.
